Dr. Andrew Sciberras – Expert Audiologist

With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Andrew Sciberras is a highly respected audiologist in Malta, known for his expertise in adult and paediatric audiology, hearing aids, and tinnitus management. He has been instrumental in introducing Malta’s cochlear implant programme and played a key role in regulating the audiology profession through the Council for Professionals Complementary to Medicine (CPCM).

Dr. Sciberras began his career after completing audiology training in London and later earned a Master’s degree in Audiological Science from University College London and a Doctorate in Audiology from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. His private practice, established in 2000, remains committed to providing state-of-the-art, evidence-based audiological care.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Sciberras has held academic positions, mentoring students at MCAST and lecturing at the University of Malta. He is also the President of the Malta Association of Audiologists (MAA) and represents Malta on international audiology platforms, including the European Committee for Audiology & Technology (ECAT), where he currently serves as president.

Beyond his professional work, Dr. Sciberras is passionate about sports diving, sailing, and music. He is also active in voluntary roles as a first aid instructor, scout leader, and a firefighter with Malta’s Civil Protection Department.
